ELIGIBILITY:           Services for all ages

 

DESCRIPTION:       Provides volunteer services for humanitarian needs for persons in our community with hearing or vision loss

                               Projects for Persons with Vision Impairment/Blindness include:

                                   Leader Dogs for the Blind: Provides guide dogs for those in need.

                                   Lions World Service for the Blind: Rehabilitation training for employment opportunities and adjustments for daily living.

                                   MidSouth Eye Bank for Sight Restoration: Supplies tissue for cornea transplant.

                                   Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Service: Provides sight and hearing care to the indigent persons from Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and West Tennessee at no charge to the patient.

                                   12 L West Tennessee Lions Charities: Mobile van screening for visual acuity, depth perception, glaucoma – all ages.
